She is a pistol! She is very "hard" and can be a challenge sometimes. She has pretty high drive and is much more willing to work for toys than for food. She absolutely LOVES to play tug with her toy after a job well done! Sparrow is quite an affectionate dog, to those she knows. She is aloof with strangers, though warms up once she decides that you're a friend. She is my constant shadow in the house, sleeping in my bed at night and laying at my side when I'm on the computer.
Sparrow has received her UKC conformation championship! Several of the judges commented that she is a very nice bitch (and I happen to agree with them!). While she is a pretty dog, she is more beautiful when she moves. She is a very nice mover!
We are currently training in agility and I think she shows great potential, we just need to learn how to work together as a team! Sparrow has started competing in UKC agility. She has her UAG1 title, UAG2 title, UACH, UACHX and her UGrACH title in UKC. She is the second UKC White Shepherd to get the UACHX and UGRACH (behind her brother!)! We're starting to meld as a team and she's gaining a lot of confidence that she's a "real agility dog"! We have started in AKC agility and Sparrow is doing fantastic! She got her Novice Agility, Novice Agility Jumpers and Open Agility titles. We've also started CPE agility and she's doing great there also. She has all of her level 2 titles and is well on her way to some of the level 3 titles. She's really starting to gain confidence and I can't wait to see what she does this season! Sparrow has done a little bit of herding also, and shows a lot of promise there also. We aren't able to go herd very often though, but it's great knowing that she has the ability to do the job! We have also dabbled a little bit in flyball. But, I think agility will be her main focus!
I will not be breeding Sparrow, as unfortunately, her hips were not good enough for her to be bred. She has been spayed and will not have to worry about heat cycles keeping her out of agility!
